Hey guys! Christmas season is approaching and I’m just now wrapping up finals in my college classes (ugh, I know that feeling. . .). Regardless, I have another review for you.
This is also from Shea Moisture (please don’t hate me. . . I love the brand, you know) and it’s from the Baby line! It’s the Raw Shea Chamomile Argan Oil Baby Healing Lotion! This can be found in the Baby section of Target for about $9.49 – $10.99.
I decided to take a break from my favorite lotion (the Argan Oil Raw Shea Body Lotion) and try something new for the upcoming winter. Besides, they were out of my favorite lotion anyway. *grumbles angrily*
Ahem. . .on to the review, shall we?
This lotion does NOT have any vegetable glycerin, or any glycerin in it for that matter (according to me reading the ingredient list over and over and over. . .). So if your skin can’t handle that ingredient, this might be for you. It’s designed for baby skin, but it’s great for sensitive skin too!
It did well for my skin and kept it moisturized. The lotion itself is pretty thick, like heavily whipped cream frosting too. But that point alone brings me to my problem with this product.
The packaging for the lotion was not a great choice. The pumping action combined with the thickness of the lotion made this very difficult to dispense and left me with a very bitter feeling. *cue growling lowly*
As a result, I carefully cut open the bottle, scooped out as much of the lotion as I could and stuffed the lotion into two mason jars I had in the cupboard.
All in all, the lotion is great and I can see myself trying it again, but the packaging needs to be reconsidered for easy dispensing. It might frustrate some people into doing what I did, so be warned when you purchase this!
