Review | Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner

Hey guys! It’s Christmas Eve and I have another review for you before I go celebrate! Yes, it’s another product from the Shea Moisture brand, but hey, I love the products in the brand!

Anyway, this one is the Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner! This can be found at select Target stores for about $9.99 – $10.99.

I actually stumbled upon the product line in a Target store before it was even officially announced. It piped my interest and I vowed to give at least one product from the line a try. This conditioner was the first from this line that I chose to try.

Needless to say, this conditioner does the job well for my hair! It does moisturize, but not in a supreme, shockingly wonderful, “OMG-my-hair-is-super-soft” way (I wish it were the case for MOST conditioners I’ve tried before. . .). It also provides decent slip for detangling and gets my hair in shape so that it doesn’t dry out easily or freeform into natural locs. *gasp!*

The fragrance smells sweet with a hint of fruit. I guessed that it was from the honey and the African rock fig extract, but it smells nice. But that, along with how it does for my hair, are not the reasons why I have considered purchasing this again in the later future.

This conditioner is white colored and contains no silicone or chemicals, meaning that it is EXCELLENT as a base for mixing two semi-permanent colors together if I wish. With this in mind, I can color my hair and deep condition it at the same time. How great is that? Two in one!

There’s not much more I can say about it except that it’s good and it gets the job done for me. I recommend this to someone who hasn’t tried Shea Moisture’s Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil line and needs a head start. Give it a try; it might do wonders for your hair!
