Review | TRESemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner

Hello readers! I’m currently making the necessary preparations for moving into an apartment-styled dorm for this Fall and Spring semesters. It will be interesting, but I’m not entirely thrilled about having to pay monthly rent (which is about $700 a month).

What happened to rent being so cheap that you could afford to move out and have enough money from a steady job to do whatever you wanted? It’s sad that times have changed. . .

Oh well. Before I start lamenting on the issue of not having any money to do most things, I should probably change the subject and issue another product review for you.

This will not be on a product from Shea Moisture, so you can breathe easy. Rather it will be from a brand that I have not tried until now: TRESemme!

This is the TRESemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner and it can be found in Publix, Target, Wal-Mart and maybe a few other stores! Its price range goes between $3.99 – $5.19.

To be honest, I have never really heard of this company until late 2013. Before in 2011-2012, I was drifting from place to place with only a regard for organic, natural products. Long story short, I’m now discovering that if certain products work the best for your hair, why not stick to them?

This is where this conditioner comes in. I was not in the mood to throw out more money on another natural conditioner with little to no detangling properties. I narrowed the search down to two conditioners: Herbal Essences Hello Hydration and the TRESemme Naturals. I went after TRESemme after seeing the Silicone-Free label.

I used this stuff a couple of times and I only have one thing to say:

This conditioner is the perfect answer to my kinky hair! It’s creamy and spreads onto my hair very easily. Because of its consistency and the fact that it has ZERO silicone in it, I use it for three particular tasks:

Rinse-Out Conditioner: This conditioner makes my hair extremely soft! I’m talking soft as baby hair, hair as fluffy as cotton balls! I spread it through, detangle with a bit of water and after about 3-5 minutes, I rinse with cool water and enjoy the softness! Speaking of detangling. . .

Detangler: This stuff is excellent as a detangling agent for my kinky mane! Finger detangling is a breeze with this and with a splash of water after application, there are no tangles, knots or matting whatsoever! It’s just amazing!

Leave In: Did I forget to mention that this can also function as a leave in conditioner too? I can actually replace my need for a leave in with this conditioner because of what it already does. All I need is a quarter-sized amount for my entire head after sealing in moisture with coconut oil and I’m all set for air drying!

On the issue of old formula versus new formula, I cannot comment on that even though I’m using what seems to currently be the new formula. I haven’t tried the old formula, so I will not be commenting anymore on that issue despite people claiming that the old formula was way better.

But there you have it! This conditioner is three products in one large 25 oz bottle! I will be sticking with this conditioner for a very long time until they really mess up the ingredients and my search will resume again.

Until next time, readers!
