Review | Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment

Hello, everyone! It’s that time of the year as my semester rolls to a close and Winter Break slowly creeps up on me. Perfect time to bust out the sweaters, favorite Christmas movies and hot chocoolate to stay warm and comfy!

Aside from my excitement for my favorite time of the year, I have a great product review for you! This will be on a product from a brand called Cover FX! This brand is very popular with makeup artists and makeup enthusiasts all around the world.

This is the Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment and it can be found at Sephora stores and on the Sephora website for around $38 plus tax.

To be honest, I had wanted this product for a very long time because of how people with oily, blemish-prone and even skin laced with acne were raving about this primer. Besides, I still wanted a product that would help control the shine I would get on my face after being outside for a long time and work well with any CC creams or tinted moisturizers I would use during my time.

After saving up enough money by frugal tactics, I went to the nearest Sephora store and purchased a tube for myself to try.

I can tell you right now that this product will forever be a STAPLE in my face care regimen! This stuff is amazing and it works wonderfully with my oily skin!

When applied to my face, it soaks in pretty quickly and leaves my face matte with no shine, but a slight fresh look that makes my face appear natural under light! Plus, with the Anti-Acne Treatment inside of it, any new blemishes that start to appear get taken out within a day or two of me using this stuff! A little goes a long way with this; you don’t need to use a lot of it to leave a light layer on your face.

It’s great for when I don’t want to wear my tinted moisturizer or CC cream, but it’s also a great base underneath those two options if you wish to do so! I’ve worn it under the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue cream and it works wonders!

My only two complaints would be the price and the tube size. I wish I was given more that 1 oz and I also wish the product was cheaper and more affordable for a frugal, financially struggling person like myself.

Otherwise, if you have oily skin or problem skin and like to wear makeup, this is one product I would definitely recommend to you!

Until next time, everyone! Have fun and stay warm!
