Review | Shea Moisture High Porosity Moisture Seal Masque

Hello again, everyone! I’ve just started working and let me tell you, being a dishwasher at a restaurant that relies on serving fresh, high quality food at a fast pace is very tiring and exhausting.

But I’m not here to rant and describe the woes of being a dishwasher to you (though it would be fun). I’m here to give you another product review! This will be on another product from Shea Moisture and you know how I’m in love with this brand.

This lovely product here is the High Porosity Moisture Seal Masque and it can be found at select Target stores for around $12.99.

When the High Porosity first came out, I jumped on the bandwagon of wanting to try this line out because of my colored, bleached, super dry kinky hair. As of now, the line is extremely popular and once I got some money, I went to a nearby Target, purchased the masque and tried it out for myself.

Where should I start with this product? There’s a lot of things I want to say about it, but it can all be boiled down into one simple sentence.

This hair masque is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!

For starters, it’s very creamy and easily spreads through my hair with very little effort! I can also finger detangle with this stuff and all of my knots and matting melt away in an instant. I don’t know about you, but that’s a huge bonus when it comes to the caring of my hair.

Now, the deep conditioning. . .Oh, how I want to sing to the heavens about the deep conditioning properties of this masque! Each time I leave this in my hair for 30-35 minutes and rinse, my hair is almost always left feeling so soft, detangled and oh so hydrated! At one point, I thought I didn’t rinse it out all the way because of how soft it made my hair. That’s how amazing this stuff is.

The fragrance would be the only negative thjng to say about this. It smells very perfumely and artificial to me, but with how good this masque is for my hair, the fragrance can be overlooked and I can deal with it.

I don’t want to say anymore about this because I feel I’ve said enough. If I thought the Manuka Honey/Mafura Oil one was good, this might be replacing that masque. If you have dry, damaged, overprocessed, what-can-I-do-to-save-it kind of hair, get your money out and purchased this before it sells out. You will NOT regret using this. Trust me.

Until next time, everyone! Now excuse me as I go rest up for another day at work. . .
