October has started and that means it’s the time for horror movies, large bags of candy, binge-watching movies and binge-reading horror novels! At least that’s how I see October since my second favorite holiday is in this month.
But before you decide what costume to wear or what horror movie will be the main event for Halloween, let’s start the month off with a review from Shea Moisture, one of my favorite product brands!
This here is the Raw Shea Butter Soap and it can be found at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Ulta Beauty and a few other places for prices between $4.79 – $4.99.
The bar seen in the photo below has been used several times and the wrapper is a little wrinkled, so I do apologize for not showing the product’s previous appearance inside and outside the package.
I’ve been wanting to try this soap for a while and since the cooler temperatures are rolling in, why not get something that will help keep my skin moisturized once Winter rolls in?
After washing with it, I can say that this soap is wonderful! The lather is creamy, yet foamy enough for me to work with. It has a slight fragrance from the shea butter, the frankincense and the myrrh that is fit for a mature woman or man. I personally don’t mind the fragrance, but some people might not think it’s suitable for them.
The moisture factor is even better! On my face, it controls my oily areas well and leaves my face smooth and soft. I also noticed that my face stays much more clear longer the more I use this soap to wash it. On my body, it’s gentle, doesn’t break out or irritate my skin and I find that I don’t need to use a lot of lotion afterwards!
The trick to this is to shower or bathe in lukewarm to warm water, whether the water’s hard or soft. If you wash up in scalding hot water, the moisture factor may not work as well. Trust me; the results will come immediately after you blot dry your body with your towel!
I will definitely purchase this soap again in the future, especially when the temperatures get even colder. This is a great soap for aging skin, oily skin and even combination facial skin and even better for dry body skin!
Until next time! Gotta go now. . .
