Review | Desert Essence Fragrance Free Body Collection

Hello and welcome back! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and received some awesome gifts from awesome people! I’ve had some good deeds done in my favor and all in all, it turned out to be a great time for me to relax and celebrate my favorite holiday!

But before it’s time to ring in the new year and make our New Year resolutions, I’ll do a product review on two products! These are from Desert Essence, a brand that specializes in organic beauty products for beauty conscious people and even vegans!

The two products shown below are the Fragrance Free Body Wash and Fragrance Free Hand & Body Lotion. Both can be found on the brand’s website and possibly in the nearest Vitamin Shoppe store.

These weren’t purchased by me. I actually received the entire Fragrance Free collection as a prize for winning a contest on Instagram and these two products were the first in the collection to be used! How awesome is that?

I’ve used up the lotion and body wash entirely for this review, so both bottles are empty as you might have guessed from the picture. To be honest, both products worked very well, but I favor the body wash over the hand/body lotion.

For starters, the body wash is very concentrated and thick. This means that I didn’t have to use a lot to get a bubbly lather going on my body using a shower pouf. Even though it claims to be fragrance free, I did detect a slight lemon scent that was very pleasant. This body wash cleaned very well and my skin never felt stripped; in fact, it felt clean yet normal. Since it has aloe vera juice as the first ingredient, I recommend this to people with not only sensitive skin, but for those who have dry skin!

Moving on to the hand/body lotion, this product did a decent job for my dry skin. I say that because this is a lightweight lotion and it didn’t really last long enough to keep my skin moisturized for the entire day. The consistency is very creamy, it absorbs quickly into my skin and the scent is the same slight lemony scent I found in the body wash before. Aloe vera juice is also the first ingredient in this product, so sensitive and dry skin would like this!

As said before, both products did great, but I would choose the body wash again as a future purchase over the lotion. I was happy to have had the chance to try some Desert Essence products and this is a brand I’ll keep as a future brand to purchase from!
