Welcome back, everyone! Like I mentioned in the last post, I’ve been falling behind on updating my blog and I have a lot of products to review. So enough chatter and let’s get started, shall we?
This will be on a product from Alikay Naturals, a natural hair care brand started by a young lady named Rochelle Graham, aka BlackOnyx77!
This is the Honey & Sage Deep Conditioner and it can be found in select Target stores for $14.99 and on the brand’s website for around $16.00 plus shipping.
I’ve been eyeing this brand for a very long time and when I had enough money, I swiped up this jar along with another product from Alikay Naturals that I will review in another post. It does come in a larger size, but the larger jar is very rare to find in stores.
I’ve used this four times now and I’m completely sold on this stuff! It’s very easy to spread and it sinks in my afro very quickly. The first two ingredients are aloe vera juice and honey, so expect a lot of these in this jar. Plus, a little goes a long way; this is one of those products where you don’t need to scoop out a whole lot to saturate your hair.
The fragrance reminds me of raw honey that’s had a few herbs infused in it! It’s delicious and it doesn’t irritate my nose in the slightest!
I usually leave it on by itself for about an hour, or I combine it with a light layer of the My Mane Care Hair Mask and let me hair soak for (you guessed it) an hour. Both methods have left my hair very soft once I rinsed my hair and started sectioning it for shampooing.
I just wish I could find it locally in the bigger 16oz size because this stuff is excellent! It’s a good product to use if I don’t want to make a batch of my “Nourish Me!” Hair Treatment to pre-treat my hair. But as with every other high end brand, the price is going to make me put this aside as a future purchase for now.
As always, leave your thoughts below and see you in the next post!
