Hello everyone! I’m finally back after completing an exam and washing a bunch of dishes at my restaurant job. I’ve haven’t been blogging for a while and it’s time that I pump out some posts because I have a lot to catch up on!
So here’s a product review for you! It will be on a popular brand called Camille Rose Naturals, a brand that specializes in vegan hair care for women and men with natural hair!
This is the Curl Love Moisture Milk and it can be found at select Target stores and now at Sally Beauty for around $13.49 – $13.99.
I picked this up at my local Target because I ran out of my favorite hair moisturizer and I was looking to try something new. I’ve had my eye on this brand for a while and I thought I’ve give it a shot.
Simply put, this is a very good product for my hair! It’s creamy like a lotion and smells like delicious cake batter! It’s also somewhat easy to spread on my hair after I dampen it with some water.
As for the moisture part, it does a great job on my parched afro. Used during the LCO method with my homemade hair oil and water, my hair stays moisturized for a lot of the day.
However, this leads me into the negatives. I seriously do not like the price because it’s too expensive, but that’s probably because of my current strict budget, the fact that Camille Rose Naturals is a high end hair brand and the fact that I’m making a lot right now.
I also wish it had just a little bit more moisture, but that’s probably because I’m so used to moisturizers being loaded with super hydrating ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and argan oil. This product is vegan and it didn’t have any of the two ingredients I mentioned, so while it did keep my hair hydrated, it didn’t really give me slip and the moisture didn’t carry on to the next day.
Due to these reasons, I would like to purchase this again, but at a more convenient time when I have a lot of money and I want to spoil myself a bit. But at least I know it’s at one of my favorite stores for beauty products, so I’m super thrilled about that!
Give me your thoughts below and I’ll see you in the next post!
