I’m finally done with all of my classes for this Spring term! It’s a huge relief since I’ve been stressing about final exams and final critiques. Plus, I’ve gotten hired for a second job and now, I have to balance two jobs with my free time. So that’s been a bit of a challenge for me so far.
But I want to start off my mini-vacation with a review on a product from LUSH, one of my favorite companies out there!
This is the Flopsy Face Wash Jelly and despite it being a Limited Edition product, I purchased this from the actual store for around $9.95 plus tax.
I realized that LUSH had a jelly wash designed for the face, so I decided to give this a try. Plus, it was during the Easter season (which has long past) and it was Limited Edition, so why not?
Upon pulling it out of the pot, I noticed that it was shaped like a rabbit’s head. People were saying on social media that it was cute and perfect for selfies, but I’m not really a selfie person. But it is really cute shaped the way it is!
After several uses, I think that it’s a good product! It smells fresh with a hint of floral and it does a decent job of cleansing my face. It’s also easy to rinse off at the sink while leaving behind no residue. My face comes out a little soft and definitely cleared of excess oil and dirt.
However, there are some drawbacks. This can be a very difficult product to use and if you’ve used LUSH’s shower jellies before, you might understand. I found that breaking off small sections of this jelly made it much easier to use on my face. You can see where I broke off certain pieces of the jelly in the photo above.
Also, it does take a minute to get a lather going, but don’t expect the lather to be super bubbly. I found that rubbing the jelly between your hands a little vigorously underneath a stream of water helps create a lather that I can work with.
All in all, this seems like a good product and I’m hoping that LUSH comes out with more face wash jellies for different skin types! This would be a good place to start if you’re looking for a nice face wash, but you’ll have to wait until the company brings this back for next Easter. Sorry…
Anyway, see you in the next post!
