Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a grand Independence Day and you got to stuff your face with BBQ! Oooh, don’t forget the loud noise and showcasing of the fireworks! I got to see that all last night throughout the neighborhood I’m staying in!
To start off this month right, I’ve got another product review for you! I’m been wanting to expand my horizon when it comes to trying out new products, particularly bar soaps. So some of the bar soaps I purchase may be on the expensive side. This review will talk about one in particular.
This is the L’Occitane Shea Butter Extra Gentle Milk Soap and it can be found on the company’s website, at an actual L’Occitane store (mine is at the St. Johns Town Center) or on other online retailers. The 3.5 oz bar is $8.00 while the bigger 7 oz (or 8 oz?) bar is around $14.00 – $16.00.
I told you it was on the expensive side.
I picked this bar up from the actual L’Occitane store because I’ve been eyeing this soap for a while. Plus, after looking at all the positive reviews on it, I knew I had to give this a try!
Let me tell you something. This is a FANTASTIC soap to use on your body! For starters, I think it’s unscented because the fragrance is a fresh, clean smell of classic soap. It is classified as a pure vegetable soap and it’s triple milled, so that means it will last longer for more uses!
The lather is something that I rarely experience. It’s creamy, somewhat foamy and luxurious against my skin. I would describe it as using a creamy body wash on your skin that also feels like a cleansing lotion.
As for the moisture and cleaning factor, this soap excels in both! It gently washed away all of my excess oil, sweat and dirt from my face and body without irritating both areas. On top of that, even when I used this in hard water (because that’s what I have to work with, unfortunately), there was no soap residue leftover and my skin was left moisturized!
This is a soap that you should give as a gift to a friend or a loved one. This is a soap you would want to take with you when you travel. This is DEFINITELY a soap for sensitive skin, mature skin, pretty much anyone’s skin! Try it; you’ll get quite a treat in the shower or bath!
