It’s the first few days of August and I can already feel Fall creeping into the area. Besides, I love the cooler, fair temperatures and the leaves changing.
What can I say; I was born in November and I’m a Fall baby at heart!
But along with the change in weather, it’s time for a change in products! That means that I’ve been trying out so many new products in preparation for the weather changes and what they can do to my skin and hair.
That also means that I have a lot to share with you! But I’m going to go only one at a time, so let’s get started!
I’ll start with a new soap that I’ve been using for a while. It’s called the Coconut Milk Bar Soap and it’s from the company Yes To! It can be found at Walmart for around $3.73 plus tax.
As stated before, I’ve used the soap plenty of times and I think it’s a great soap! The fragrance is definitely a coconut one with a hint of something tropical. It’s pleasant to my nose!
The lather starts off bubbly, but then it melts away into a creamy, slightly foamy lather that feels great on the skin. It’s almost like washing your body with a cleansing lotion or even a cleansing conditioner.
As for the moisture, it did great on keeping my skin hydrated. My face was left smooth and my body felt the same too.
But that’s where the positives end.
Unfortunately, I had to stop using this soap about 3-4 weeks in. My legs started developing small red bumps on the skin and a small red rash appeared under both of my breasts.
Now I already know that when I get little red bumps on my legs, that’s a sign that my skin doesn’t like an ingredient in a product and that I should consider not using the product anymore.
But when I develop two rashes in my chest area that itch, burn and peel, it’s time to apply the brakes and dispose of the product.
And that’s exactly what I did.
So, to conclude, I think this soap is great for dry skin and for hydration in the cooler times! It has the perfect balance of cleansing and moisturizing, which is almost rare to find in a soap.
But if your skin does not tolerate anything coconut or if your skin breaks out like mine did after the first couple of uses, then this soap is not for you.
Have you tried this soap? Tell me below and I’ll see you in the next post!
