Review | Aveeno Moisturizing Bar

Hello and welcome back! I hope everyone stayed safe during the events of both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma recently. As far as I know, there are still people without power in Florida and many are still trying to clean up everything.

I did as much as I could to help with the cleanup, but for those that are still struggling, my fingers are crossed in the hopes that things turn out okay for you in the end. ((hugs))

So how about I try to cheer you up with another review? I know that talking about beauty products is disrespectful at a time like this, but maybe the thoughts about this product will help brighten your day a bit.

I present to you the Aveeno Moisturizing Bar! It can be found at Walmart, Target and Publix for prices between $2.44 – $2.49. That’s very affordable to someone with a tiny budget!

Remember in my past review when I talked about developing red rashes underneath my breasts after using the soap from Yes To? I decided to throw that one away and try out a different soap that had oatmeal in it to soothe the area underneath my breasts. This bar came to mind and I picked it up.

Simply put, this is an amazing bar for my face and body! Aveeno does classify this as a “cleansing bar” that is soap-free, not as an actual bar of soap. According to the ingredients list, there are no traces of soap in it; it just has gentle cleansers and oat flour as the first ingredient.

This bar is unscented, but it smelled like uncooked oats to me! It’s a very pleasant, mild smell that I have no problems with. The lather was creamy with a hint of foam mixed in.

As for the cleansing part, it did very well in getting off the sweat, dirt and odor from my body! It even worked well on my face and left it smooth in preparation for my face serum. But after using this twice on the rashes under my breasts, they stopped itching and the redness reduced dramatically! I wish I had before-and-after photos for you to see!

My only complaint about this bar is that it does dissolve somewhat faster than other bars I’ve used in the past. I recommend the Magic Soap Dish to safely preserve this cleansing bar in-between uses so it can dry out. I talk more about the soap dish here.

It’s a great product for sensitive skin, inflamed skin, eczema or psoriasis! Plus, like I said, it’s cheap! Try it out for yourself; you might like it!

I hope this cheered everyone up! Take care, stay safe and help out others as much as you can in the aftermath of the hurricanes!
