Life Update | Feeling a Little Lost…

The semester is nearly over and I’ve been trying to wrap up my class in the last few days. It hasn’t been easy since as a Photography major, you’re required to be creative with the projects you make and there were many times when I would hit a roadblock and just be stuck.

Add on to that the pressure of looking for a second job, getting hired to volunteer my time in photographing the baseball season going on in Jacksonville, FL, and taking more hours at my current job and…well, you have one stressed out, overworked individual.

Sometimes I would sit down and wonder where exactly I’m going in life. It’s not that I’m completely lost in what I want to do; I know exactly what I want to do. But when there are so many things going on at once and you’ve exhausted yourself trying to juggle it all, you can get to a point where you don’t feel like doing anything for a long period of time.

That’s how I’ve been feeling for the past several weeks. Sometimes, it’s okay and other times, I feel like I’m not being productive enough. It can be vicious at times.

On the flip side, I am thrilled that I got an opportunity to be a photographer for a very popular baseball season and I was even more excited when I found out through the process that the people hosting the season usually hire students with Photo majors from my university! Unfortunately, it’s not a paid gig, but I believe the exposure will really get my foot in the door.

Plus, I’ve also taken up a new hobby in my spare time (when I’m not blogging, shooting things with my camera, etc.) and I’ll tell you about it soon. I’ve just been trying to take everything in small steps and resting in between. It’s been working so far, but I really would like to do more for myself and just relax for once.

Who knows; I might actually plan a small solo road trip of sorts and travel outside of Florida to other states for new scenery and adventure. After all, being an explorer is something that comes naturally to me!
